About Larry

Larry Lerner was born in New York City, and grew up in Englewood, New Jersey. He attended the Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts, graduating with a Bachelor of Music degree. While attending Berklee, Larry managed of The Orson Welles Cinema in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Larry's first job in the film business was as a production assistant with Associated Filmakers International, a commercial production company in Miami, Florida. He became a 1st Assistant Director member of the Directors Guild of America in 1983.

Larry has worked as a 1st Assistant Director on 1 hour episodic television shows, TV pilots, feature films, movies-of-the-week, music videos, and web series.

Larry is a member of The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and a member of the DGA 1st Assistant Director Committee and Visual Effects/Digital Technology Committee.
