About Randy

Playwright and screenwriter Randy Lee Gross has had plays presented in eleven U.S. states (plus the District of Columbia), including New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Arizona, Texas, Colorado, and California, and also in London and Sydney, Australia. His full-length play, “The Haunted Train,” received an off-off Broadway production – with music – at Theatre For The New City in October 2015; and his play “Bread” was included in “The Best Ten-Minute Plays of 2015” (Smith & Kraus, Inc.). His full-length screenplay, “The Obligatory,” won the Best Genre (Comedy) Award at the 2015 Asbury Park Music in Film Festival.

    The Tin Shed Drama Fantasy Two lost souls – (A) a philandering dentist on Long Island; (B) a timid garment worker in Bangladesh – both of them unhappy with their lots, pray for release from their dreary existences while in their (A) tin-roofed work shed; (B) corrugated tin shack; and inexplicably have their identities swapped. ***Note: partially based on the true story of the Rana Plaza garment factory collapse that took place near Dhaka in April of 2013.
