Ava Lemert is an active performing musician: Vocalist and Saxophonist, international recording artist, and is also a prolific recognized arranger, producer and composer of hundreds of pieces in many styles from sweeping cinematic themes to historic and exotic world fusion, funk, jazz, soul and R&B. Ava is honored to be a voting member of the The Recording Academy, San Francisco Chapter. Ava is also a new member of the ground-breaking Alliance for Women Film Composers based in Los Angeles. She's performed for 10's of thousands as well as intimate private events in her local community of Sacramento. A compassionate, civic-minded artist, Ava Lemert performs for several local charities, including The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, The Sacramento International Day of Peace, as well as entertains often at local assisted living and memory care facilities and has served her City as a Commissioner for History and Arts, was a founding member of the award-winning all-ages Citrus Heights Community Marching Band. Ava has also helped many adults and children to play music by helping them with buying instruments, advising them on where to get involved in community bands and orchestras and makes time to volunteer at schools to keep the music alive and bring it back into others' lives as she once returned to her own music after many years without playing or reading a note.
