About Michael

Mike is a Production & Post Production professional for TV, Film & Digital Media. He currently holds the title of Specialist, Film & Tourism for the City of Brampton.

Most recently, he was the producer of the short film called "Keystone", Written and Directed by Newfoundland folk musician Ian Foster. The film saw it's World Premiere at the 2015 Calgary International Film Festival.

He produced of the short satire "Infanticide!", awarded Best Atlantic Short at the 2013 Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax, NS. The short family drama he produced, "The Rink", was an Official Selection in the 2012 TIFF Kids Film Festival. He also successfully produced the short bio documentary "Last Music Man". "Infanticide!" and "Last Music Man" have aired on CBC's Canadian Reflections program.

At Best Boy Entertainment Mike worked on the Animal Planet Canada's docudrama series "Save My Pet" as Post Production Coordinator & Researcher. He lead story research, was the acting Casting Director, worked on-set as Script Supervisor and saw each show through to delivery to the broadcaster in post production. Mike is also one heck of a dad to some very lucky animals.

As an Office Production Assistant at Copperheart Entertainment, Mike worked directly with Academy Award Winning Producer Steve Hoban and Mark Smith on delivering the feature film "388 Arletta Avenue" directed by Randall Cole.

Mike was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Canadian Cinema Editors in 2012 for exceptional editing of the short drama Asylum. Upon graduation of Sheridan College's Advanced Television & Film diploma program, he was chosen by faculty to receive the Panavision Emerging Filmmaker Award. As well, he holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts and a Diploma in Journalism from the University of Guelph-Humber.

Mickey's Farm (2011 - 2013)
Television by Best Boy Entertainment (Family and Animation) Post Production Coordinator & Editor Mickey is a real Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) who just moved to the farm with fourteen-year-old Megan, his wise and fun-loving best friend. Ever playful, Mickey's energy, enthusiasm, and curiosity feed his adventurous spirit, which inevitably leads him into troublesome situations. Like the time he brought a baby chick home to Megan as a present, much to the dismay of the chick's mother! Luckily, Mickey makes plenty of new friends, like Guy, an always-hungry, well-traveled British goat, and Fiona, a fun-loving, fast-talking ferret.
