About Diego

Diego Osorio is a Venezuelan-American filmmaker and voice over artist. He was born in Caracas, Venezuela and started making videos at age 13. In 1995 he moved to Orlando to study film at the University of Central Florida. His first short film project “Portrait”, under the support of CENAC (Centro Nacional Autónomo de Cinematografia), was one of the four venezuelan official selections at the International Short Film Festival of Rio de Janeiro (Curtacinema) and Festival Internacional de Curtas-Metragens de Sao Paulo, Brazil.

In 1999 he obtained a BA in Motion Picture Technology and moved to Miami. He worked as producer, editor & director for various networks and record labels such as Universal Music, Discovery Networks and USA. He made several short films and music videos with which he obtained various awards like the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, the Telly Awards, among others. He has worked for artists like Juanes, Calle 13 & Chayanne. Since 2010 Diego collaborates with LARAS (The Latin Grammy) as Producer-Editor of the Person Of The Year tribute videos for Plácido Domingo, Shakira, Serrat, Miguel Bose, and others. He has also produced the Grammy Acoustic Sessions videos.

Since 2001, along with his film career, Diego has become one of the most recognized Hispanic voice over talents in the industry, recording hundreds of TV & Radio commercials, movies, cartoons & promos. Clients include Discovery Networks, NASCAR, Applebee’s, Buick, etcetera. He’s a SAG-AFTRA member.

In 2013 Diego moved to Los Angeles California. He has collaborated with production companies like Radical Media, VIMBY and Green Light. He’s currently developing a music web series through his production company Patacos Film as well as two narrative features.
