About Elizabeth

Award Winning Director, Actress & Film Maker:

Where I grew up radio and television were taboo. Mine was a very strict religious upbringing “on steroids”. Raised on my family's 1800's homestead by German-Swiss parents of Amish Mennonite heritage. I dreamed of freedom, however was captive within the fold. At seventeen, I escaped to a foreign world, modern society. My adventures extreme from burlesque to spiritual teachings. I studied taboo things like chakras, eastern meditations, modeling and makeup; exposing me to the world of cinema. In 2002, I found my artistic family at Playhouse West where rigorous training for stage, screen and film productions began with mentors: James Franco, Jeff Goldblum, Robert Carnegie and Martin Donovan.

My films have been well received at Independent Film Festivals. In 2017, I won Best Director; the HolyShorts Award; Audience Choice Best Short Film and Best Lead Actress awards for Sanvean. I was elated when nominated Best Actress alongside screen-icon Shirley MacLaine for my starring role in The Long Wait which also won Storytelling Achievement; Best Actor and Best Short Film Awards in 2014.

Competitive outdoor cycling and hot yoga are my favorite sports. Since 2009, I've been a grief support advocate with Elevating Hope, a nonprofit, whose mission helps people understand grief.

Unique traits: Disciplined, Dedicated, Passionate Team Player
