About Francis

I am a novelist, screenwriter and playwright; not necessarily in that order!

When I moved to SW France from the UK after a career in public service, I started my literary life by writing traditional British pantos for a theatre group I helped set up in SW France. I wrote two murder mystery plays and a musical too.

Then I moved on to writing short stories and had them published in UK magazines.

Next I graduated towards screenplays and now have a portfolio of seven feature length and one short. One of my feature films is in pre-production in the UK.

You don't need me to tell you how difficult it is to get a film script accepted. I had some success in competitions.

I have now added novel writing to my portfolio. I have six full length novels published and a current series of novellas running that cover the life and times of a country house from the 17th century to modern times. I have two more novels coming out soon.

Unique traits: I write mainly in the Romance genre.
