Hello! My name is Oleg, and I'm a screenwriter. I am presenting my feature-length screenplay, "The Light Off-Screen" — a psychological drama about a director whose life crumbles under the weight of a public accusation. The script is registered with the Writers Guild of America (WGA). The project is fully ready for production or an option deal. Why my project deserves your attention: A completed, strong screenplay. Finished, WGA-registered, and has repeatedly received high praise from industry professionals. A timely and profound theme. "Light Off-Screen" explores the nature of guilt, public judgment, and the fragility of reputation. This is not a formulaic story — there are no easy answers, only moral complexity and genuine human dilemmas. A unique atmosphere and tension. The script masterfully builds suspense through silence, subtext, and psychological realism — not cheap tricks. Strong dialogue and characters. Every scene serves character. Caitlin, the protagonist's lawyer, is one of the most vivid characters in my script, capable of attracting a serious actress. A strong reputation. The project has already generated interest from international producers and managers. An ideal format for independent cinema. Intimate, tense, with powerful acting roles. Low budget, high festival and streaming potential (Netflix, HBO, Amazon, and other platforms). Flexibility for revisions. I am open to constructive feedback and ready to strengthen the script according to production needs while preserving its dramatic core. Who I am looking for: 1. Producer / Investor (Option). I am open to option offers for the screenplay. Any reasonable terms are negotiable. 2. Financier. If you are ready to finance production or enter a co-production — let's talk. 3. Manager. I am looking for a professional manager to represent me and this project. My terms: 15% of the writer's income from the project. You receive exclusive rights to the project for an agreed period and my full cooperation. What I offer a partner: · Full access to the screenplay · Openness to discussing revisions and strategy · Willingness to participate in pitches and any activities that strengthen the project olegmyllayanov.writer@gmail.com If you are looking for quality, intimate dramatic material — let's discuss the possibilities of working together. Sincerely, Oleg

Seeking directors in New York City, New York
I’ve co-written and am currently packaging a one-hour pilot and looking for a director with a strong visual voice and a real feel for music on screen. Sleep Outside is set in 1994 New York. It follows a gifted, self-destructive musician on the edge of eviction, trying to hold together his band, his family, and one shot at something bigger. It’s a character-driven dramedy rooted in a true story, built around the music of Vic Ruggiero and The Slackers. The tone sits somewhere between Inside Llewyn Davis and Almost Famous. It’s gritty, pre-gentrification NYC. Music isn’t the background of this series – it drives the story. Performances will be shot to feel live and immersive, rather than cutaways. Other comps are Shameless meets Daisy Jones & The Six. We’re planning a contained 18–20-day NYC shoot with two primary venues, minimal moves, and a design that gives the director control over the space, look, and tone. Think less logistical noise, more room to shape a distinct visual language. This pilot is meant to launch a series, and the director will help project the tone made clear in the script – how the music feels, how the city moves, how intimate or chaotic the world becomes. We have full control of the music catalog. Budget is in the $1.1M–$1.4M range, built around efficiency and New York tax incentives. If you know how to shoot music so it actually feels alive, have a point of view about New York grounded in lived experience, and like ska music (helpful, but not required!) - email: sleepoutsideseries@gmail.com – please include your reel, IMDb, and any relevant work.

Jenevesque Media is building a writers’ room for a socio-political coming-of-age television series, and we’re looking for thoughtful, original voices to help shape it. The series explores the nuances of young Black identity—power, contradiction, cultural memory, and the quiet negotiations of growing up. If you’re drawn to character-driven stories with layered social and emotional stakes, this room is for you. If you're a fan of shows like This is Us, A Different World, Grand Army, or The Get Down, we want to hear from you. We are looking for writers who think deeply, are observant, honest, and aren't afraid of complexity. This is not a search for perfect people. It's a search for sharp minds, emotional intelligence, cultural fluency, and compelling voices. Apply at the form linked below by 11:59 pm EST on Friday, June 19th (Juneteenth) to be considered. https://forms.gle/KYDo23Ze9ZJTKq8s8

Director — 3-Minute AI-Cinematic Trailer ("Enlightened Earth") XPRIZE Future Vision Submission • August 8, 2026 deadline • Remote Position The Story We're Telling Imagine humanity gets it right. A future where AI is not a threat but a partner in consciousness. Where free, regenerative energy ends scarcity. Where nature, technology, and humans live in harmony — and a generation finally chooses unity over separation. We're producing a 3-minute cinematic trailer that lets audiences feel this future in their bodies. Not as fantasy. As a real possibility they could help build. If the idea of telling that story stops you in your tracks, keep reading. What This Project Is Enlightened Earth is being submitted to the XPRIZE Future Vision contest — a $2.5M production financing prize plus $100K cash for the winning submission. The contest invites filmmakers to depict humanity's best possible future. Our deliverables are a 3-minute cinematic trailer and a 12-page treatment, due August 15, 2026. The story is locked. Our writing team — two veteran sci-fi screenwriters with feature credits — is finalizing the trailer script and feature treatment now. By the time you join, the narrative spine will be set: characters, beats, philosophical frame, the works. Your job is making it land. Every emotional beat. The lump in the throat. The moment a viewer thinks "I want to live there." That's what wins this. That's the gap on our team. The Role You are the Director. The captain of the trailer. You own: Emotional landing. Each beat hits the audience the way it's supposed to. Performance. Whether that means directing AI-generated characters with our AI Cinematic Director, or directing live face/voice talent — we're testing both. You'll help us decide which path serves the story best. The cut, working alongside our AI Cinematic Director. Music and sound design choices. Pacing and rhythm — the heartbeat of the piece. You'll work in close partnership with: AI Cinematic Director — owns the visual pipeline (VEO, Runway, Kling, Midjourney, Luma, Suno). Generates the imagery and audio you direct. Creative Director — owns the story canon and worldbuilding. He has signed off on the script. Writers — delivering the locked script June 1. Producer — owns delivery, budget, and team. You will have final call on shot decisions within the locked story. Timeline PhaseDatesYour InvolvementScript lock + workflow buildmid-May – June 1Script notes, AI/actor workflow tests with teamProductionJune 1 – July 20Heads-down, daily collaboration on shot generationPostJuly 20 – August 8Cut, music, sound, final emotional polishSubmissionAugust 15Done Anticipated start: mid-to-late May. Who We're Looking For Required: Direct experience directing trailers, short-form cinematic, or commercial work with strong emotional storytelling Festival or award credits — or trailers / short-form work attached to projects with real credits Comfortable working with AI generation as a creative partner, not against it Willing to step into a story you didn't originate and make it sing Strong instincts for performance — whether shaping AI-generated characters or directing live talent Bonus: Trailer directing as your primary craft Sci-fi or speculative-future genre experience Sound design or music supervision instincts Experience directing live actors (face and/or voice) — useful if our testing leads us toward a hybrid AI/live workflow This isn't the right fit if: You need to own the story or originate the narrative You see AI as a threat to traditional craft You're an "I am the visionary" type who can't co-create with an AI Cinematic Director You generate AI imagery but don't think in terms of performance and emotion Compensation This is a passion-project opportunity with a real budget behind it. We're looking for a director who connects deeply with the vision — Enlightened Earth is a story about humanity's choice between two timelines, and the right director will feel that weight in their bones. Engagement runs May 15 – August 8 (~12 weeks), culminating in submission to the Future Vision XPRIZE on August 15. Workload is ~8–12 hours/week with intensive milestone periods. We have budget allocated and we're flexible on structure. Rather than posting a fixed rate, we'd like you to tell us what works for you — monthly retainer, project fee, or a mix. We'll find the right fit together based on experience, scope, and mutual fit. How to Apply Please respond to this job posting with the below invcluded: Reel link — directing work that demonstrates emotional storytelling A short answer (200 words max): What excites you about telling this story? What's the first thing you'd want to keep the same, and the first thing you'd want to change? Your rate or rate range — flat fee, day rate, or whatever structure works for you. Open to back-end consideration if there's strong philosophical alignment. Every application is read personally. If your answer resonates, you'll hear back within 48 hours. Deadline to apply is May 3 11:59pm.
