Completely one note. The thing about comedy is, if you NEED funny lines to make people laugh, then you are not a comedic actor. For example, I don't remember a single funny line from the entire career of Norman Wisdom, but I do remember that he had me in stitches every time. Dodgeball is a very funny film IMO. Every one of the characters had me laughing out loud......except him. Just look at the level Ben Stiller took his character to and compare that to Vaughn`s. He stole every scene and Vaughn didn't even try to keep up with him....he couldn't.
Vince Vaughn is so lazy he could not even sustain a love affair with Jennifer Aniston. I write funny lines for my stage plays. It is hard to be funny -- especially when you are writing a period drama where topical references must be avoided.
I don't like to put anyone down, but I've always seen Vince as a light-weight, I don't find him funny at all.
always thought he was a decent 'straight man' if he had good comedians working around him - 'Dodgeball'
who is vince vaughn
Finally somebody other than myself, asked the question... Is He Funny?.. Answer?.. NO!..
Mark Kermode's reviews are sharp and interesting. Wonder if he ever thought about writing a stage play or a film.
And put himself up for critique??!?!?!? LOL!!
I love Vince Vaughn. He was great in "Wedding Crashers" and the movie with Jennifer Aniston in "The Breakup". This is entirely a subjective matter. Let's all be nice as it will be us one day receiving criticism.
