Do most Actors and Actresses start by being Models? How common is this?

I love modeling. I love Acting, and I most definitely love Screenwriting. I've been Screenwriting for the past 6 years. I've gotten my feet wet in Modeling, and I used to do a lot of Acting (nothing professional, but I hope to one day be a pro). Anyway, I have a ton of tattoos and am thinking of getting back into Alternative Modeling. Is it smart or a good idea to do so? Should I juggle all 3? I won't ever stop writing, but if I don't model...I'm not going to feel too bad. BUT I do have a photographer now, and it just feels like something I may want to do as early as next month! Acting Headshots first, then maybe a Halloween themed photoshoot for my nearly empty portfolio. What do you think? Will modeling ultimately help my other career goals in some way?

Have any of your scripts sold? Maybe it's something you enjoy, but not something that will ever pay the bills. Modeling as you know has several flavors. Several specialty agencies could represent you in NYC. Get some new photos and see where it leads.

JD Hartman

OP said, " I most definitely love Screenwriting." No, I'm asking the OP if her scripts have sold and my post relates to her initial post. What part of my post did not relate to the current topic? Seriously, my participation in this thread or any, isn't to bump my post count.

JD Hartman

Victor, I thought I did, the OP, the original poster, Jennifer the starter of this thread. That's how people are referred to on other boards I belong to. For participants in the discussion, most boards have the option of including all or part of a persons post as a quote in your post. We don't have that here. So thing are a little confusing, How can you tell if a persons post relates to the one directly above or another one? Yes I read your last post. Just seems like any discussion were both in end up as some sort of verbal fistfight. I don't know why, it's not my intent. I don't need that.

JD Hartman

VG, okay, yes, verbal fistfight is a bit over the top. Misunderstanding, yes. Other boards, dealing with other tops, like Control Booth dot com, a theater tech board, allow you to quote a reply within your own. What can be and can't be done in a posting here may be limited to what software drives the board. Don't know what's used here. I will be more careful in directing and crafting my posts in the future. Maybe another misunderstanding can be avoided.. Back to the original topic...
