Acting : One small step by Suzanne Bronson

Suzanne Bronson

One small step

The end of the year is upon us. Did you accomplish all that you set out to? Is there one thing you still haven’t done? As the entertainment industry takes a break for the next few weeks, we can find ourselves with little to do. Now is a good time to check out the Education tab and take a lab or webinar.

My challenge to you actors is to name one intentional step you are taking before this year winds down. Is there someone you need to reach out to? A post you can comment on? A webinar you have been meaning to take? Do you have a scene you want to work on? A monologue you need to polish? Find a local acting class? Is there one habit you have been building?

Please share it in the comments below. One small step leads to another and another. Let’s encourage each other to keep the momentum going.

Maurice Vaughan

Hi, Suzanne Bronson. I didn’t accomplish everything I set out to, but I got a lot done. I wrote scripts, rewrote scripts, networked, pitched, read scripts, and more. I need to catch up on watching some Stage 32 webinars, and I need to finish rewriting some scripts.

Suzanne Bronson

So Maurice Vaughan what is one intentional step you are going to do this week?

Maurice Vaughan

I'm gonna do another rewrite on my feature script, Suzanne Bronson. What's a step you’re taking?

Alexandra Stevens

Suzanne Bronson thanks for the invitation. Hmmmm......a good question. I immediately think, eughhh....my life is so full at the moment, how can I possibly find the space or time for a small step ? Well, as you know, i think the step will be finding some scenes to work on with you. 'Especially since my training starts up again next year.

And going off of that, Maurice Vaughan I WILL find a monologue or two. I have a book that was recommended in the Audition Intensive Lab I took and I have nothing but time. Alexandra Stevens

Great, Suzanne Bronson. I like the "WILL"! What's your favorite type of monologue?

Suzanne Bronson

A prepared actor Maurice Vaughan to has both a dramatic and a comedic at the ready, and a classical. Depends on the show you're auditioning for.
