Hey, Cyrus Sales! I'm turning my short script Ghost Roach into an adult animated series and rewriting a live-action feature script this week.

My goals this week are outline the animated series and finish rewriting a draft of the feature script.

I don't need help right now, but thanks!

I can give screenwriting advice.

What about you?

Bob Harper

Great motivator!

-What are you currently working on?

Alot but primarily I am promoting my book and getting some selections in festivals for my animated short which I will be promoting soon.

-What’s one goal you want to accomplish this week?

Finish designing my social media posts for both the bookand short

-How can someone here in the lounge help you?

MONEY!!! Lots and lots of cash! LOL

-And where can you help others?

Always here to answer questions.

Cyrus Sales

Maurice Vaughan - dope goals to have this week. What is your animated series about?

As for me. I'm currently working on a thanksgiving animation.

I'll be getting the script in the correct format and recording the rough voicing for animatic to start next week.

As of right now, I think I'm good.

I can give feedback on animation line work and sound design (mixing and mastering too).

Cyrus Sales

Bob Harper - I want to edit my post. Yes, lots and lots of MONEY lol. Can never go wrong with extra dough lol. Congrats on the book, what's it about? Which film festivals are you considering?

Maurice Vaughan

Thanks, Cyrus Sales. The logline for the Ghost Roach short script is "After moving into their new house, a closed-minded dad tries to get rid of a ghost roach that haunts him and his teenage daughter."

A Thanksgiving animation sounds interesting! I'm rooting for you to reach your goals! Is it a feature or series?

G.R. Barnett

What am I currently working on? Well, I just finished the pilot to my animated series. And I may start on episode two this week IDK. I am still trying to get funding and so far that has not been a fun ride at all. I really need to speak with someone in distribution but am not having any luck there. I had a pitch sesh today for a live action series but the hotel internet cut out JUST AS I WAS GETTING ON and when I got back on the exec was gone. (Her last name was Wu) and yes I have sent an email to stage 32 about it. Hopefully they will be able to help me though I don't know about turnaround. I hope I didn't waste $35. ugh. TBH I don't know if I would be able to help anyone in the lounge right now but if someone asked I would be willing to try.

Maurice Vaughan

Stage 32 has a Distribution Lounge where you could ask for advice on finding distribution, G.R. Barnett. www.stage32.com/lounge/distribution

G.R. Barnett

Thank you Maurice Vaughan

Cyrus Sales I have sent you a DM.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, G.R. Barnett.

Cyrus Sales

Maurice Vaughan is the ghost an actual roach? The animation is a short, micro? animation. Something to go on social media, nothing too complex or crazy. We are focusing on more short form content for social media.

Cyrus Sales

G.R. Barnett congrats on finishing the pilot for your animation series. Funding is always an interesting ride, I've been doing research this year into funding, pitching, etc. Sorry to hear about the hotel internet. Hopefully it all gets resolved. What is your series about?

Maurice Vaughan

Yeah, the ghost is an actual roach, Cyrus Sales. Ghost Roach is a micro-budget live-action short script right now. I was gonna turn it into an adult animated series, but I might keep pitching it as a short script or turn it into a feature script (live-action or animated).

Looking forward to seeing the Thanksgiving animation!

Cyrus Sales

Maurice Vaughan a lot of different options to choose from, I look forward to future update on how things go with your animation. Absolutely, once it goes live on social I'm going to share it here as well.
