Anything Goes : Selling a video game by Maria Restivo Glassner

Who is buying video game IP? I have a friend who has been making a video game for a while, and wanted to know the process of potentially selling it in the film industry. Any knowledge out there? I did a quick Google search, and Tripledot Studios is one of the companies purchasing them. Also, how does a video game maker pitch to a studio? Do they put together a pitch deck like one would for a feature or TV show?
