Anyone have experience with film pitch decks? .... what content, how long, etc......if someone would be willing to share examples it would be appreciated. Every now and then a new contact asks if we have one, so it would be prudent to add one to our arsenal of development materials, Thanks!
Here's a concise example and some very good advice about creating one. http://www.scriptmag.com/features/guerrilla-screenwriting-the-importance... If you don't have Powerpoint, you can use Google apps to create a simple deck and export to PPT if you wish. Lately, I've been working with Prezi and like the results for doing a live presentation. It seems so superficial. A few prolific producers I've reached out to feel pitch decks don't help film, they're more for commercials. A variation for film is a called a "look book" ... but I still think a simple and clear 1-sheet is a better alternative to give a potential investor.

It sure works for Angel Investors in Silicon Valley and their hundreds of Start-Up technology company investments. A well crafted PowerPoint with sparse text and awesome images would make someone 'Grok' your Business Model more easily? We are visual folk, I know the VC meetings I have attended have been successful for the StartUp presenter, if they get to their point for 'starting-up' across early in the presentation and visually. And these are for 'tens-of-milliions of dollars' in Seed-Capital being requested. A smaller production budget might be as successful with the appropriate audience we seek.
