Filmmaking / Directing : Dust Bunny by Robert Bruinewoud

Dust Bunny

saw this in my feed and it reminded me of a concept i had back in 2019 – the notes read:

...

DUST BUNNIES

a horror movie about sentient/possessed Dust Bunnies

could be a kids “silly” horror movie with a message re cleanliness, responsibility or whatevs

or

it could be horrific and surreal where people are found dead, their throats and lungs packed with dust and hair and whatnot

or

perhaps the protagonist is some clean freak that treats people poorly and they murder someone and the the victim’s soul animates the dust to exact their revenge

or

the Dust Bunnies are alien species

or

the Dust Bunnies are infested by escaped nanobots under the control of a deranged AI

or

the Dust Bunnies are “ghost turds” and the movie is about the folks at the Ecto-Sanitation Department and what happens when they go on strike for better wages

...

i’ll be interested in seeing Bryan’s take on the subject matter

That happens to me sometimes, Robert Bruinewoud. I'll come up with a script idea, write a script, or be working on a script and find out there's another script or movie like it. I'll either keep the idea/script like it is, change some things so my script is different, or find a different angle to tell the story in.

I'd probably go in the Horror or Sci-Fi Action direction with a dust bunny story. Or a Mystery.
