Filmmaking / Directing : How to direct and write a romantic scene by Swati Panda

Writing, acting as the actress and directing this romantic scene from Bouquet Of Lies produced by Sineyqueen Global films came easy to me when I decided to put things from my own real life , my own thoughts rather than copy from here and there. It brought a freshness and was very easy for me to write it. I didn't follow any typical screenplay rule to write this scene. I rather wrote from my heart and improvised a lot on the spot. So I tried to bring an intelligent conversation between a man and a woman rather than just blindly flirting and lusting for each other. I feel , the intelligence of a woman can be the most attractive feature for a modern man with modern outlook. So being a Jane Austen fan and a student of Literature, I wanted my actress to be like her heroines. And then they have those long conversations, stolen glances and laughter that eventually brings love between a couple. So , as a director, I wanted audience to enjoy the talk and imagine themselves there. Also, here the girl talks while the guy just enjoys watching her quietly and it brings the slow burn romance. Also being the producer of this series, I have got absolute freehand to bring the female gaze for everyone to enjoy.
