Happy Week 4 JFC

Some of the film marketing campaigns that really stuck with me were Alien vs. Predator, Child's Play, and Scary Movie, each for different reasons, but all because they created something bigger than just trailers.

With Alien vs. Predator, the concept itself felt like a cultural moment. The idea of marketing two legendary monsters as rivals was genuinely unprecedented at the time. What really got me, though, was seeing the Predator mask and Alien imagery everywhere—people wore those costumes out in the world, turning them into living advertisements. It didn't just feel like a movie was coming; it felt like a fight event.

Child's Play took a different approach that I found equally brilliant. Those Chucky scare pranks made the character feel terrifyingly real, not just fictional. And then Scary Movie came in with pure joy. Those hilarious clips and the iconic Ghostface mask created so much buzz and anticipation. It showed that horror marketing didn't always have to be dark.
