CROWDFUNDING It's not as simple as putting up a site. You have to have a plan of action, and you have to follow the plan. Work on an exciting pitch - don't just ask for money Shoot a couple of exciting scenes that will draw the viewer in - better to show than tell There's more to it, but that's a start PRIVATE INVESTORS Using the same pitch techniques mentioned above, approach investors with your idea you'll need a budget, profit and loss projections... remember, you're meeting with investors. Treat it like any other business GARAGE SALE, EBAY... Sell anything you can and raise the funds on your own
Curtis, that's the main problem all filmmakers face. I'm going back to a mining job to make some money to promote my book. There's so many out there asking for money, that it's near impossible, so think like a businessman. Lower your budget, make deals with people, borrow equipment instead of paying, have a block party with the entry fee going to the movie(and make a movie about too). Or you can try KickStarter .
My comment about OOP was intended as humor. I know OPM, which is Other People's Money. I'm not sure about OOP If you decide on crowdfunding, I can help. There are certain, important steps, that you cannot afford to pass up. What's the project?
