I have audience ideas that would make my first movie script a better 'sell' from an unknown, but when I'm ready to move the project off my desk and toward Production, what comes first: Having a Producer already attached, or financing?
It would seem to me that both avenues have merits, but in my position, what would everyone suggest?
TIA

Are you planning to sell your work or make your own films?
Money equals Power.
Have $$$$ so you can be the Exec Producer and hire/fire Producers. They work for you. But then you got to partner with a distributor to make back your $$$, pray for profit.
OK, so it's desirable to get the funding, become the Exec. on your project, then move forward. Many thanks, everyone.
