Introduce Yourself : Hello again, Stage 32! by Aleksandr Rozhnov

I’m not new here, but I’d like to introduce myself once more. I’m a screenwriter from Ukraine who has probably loved cinema since childhood. I believe that even the simplest story—like a person going to the store for bread—can be told in a way that’s interesting to watch.

I enjoy taking serious topics that concern many people and showing them on screen through unconventional situations, which makes my scripts quite striking. When I write, I visualize every scene in my mind. Honestly, in my scripts you won’t find vague notes like “the camera shows this”—I imagine every movement, every frame, exactly how it will look on screen.

You know, I probably love comedy the most. But like any person, I can be angry or cheerful — sometimes I even feel like I could kill someone. That’s why I can write thrillers (which I already have), a sports drama (which I’m finishing), horror (which I’m planning), and even kids’ cartoons.

I would love to connect with creative people, fellow screenwriters, agents, and producers whom I could be useful to. I really want to be part of the industry and be a helpful, contributing person.

Also — I have a cat named Putsik, whom I love very much, and I hope to write a script about him one day.
