I have completed three screenplays and three teleplays the latter adapted from my own short stories. The latest - 'Pottersville' is based on a guy who finds himself in Capra's nightmare world from 'It's a Wonderful Life' however I'm wondering whether redrafts are worth it as some commentators have doubted whether the film could ever be made due to copyright, actors having to play iconic stars eg. Jimmy Stewart. Any thoughts?
The original 1946 film's premise has been "borrowed" many times, such as The Preacher's Wife with Denzel Washington. Go for it.
