Introduce Yourself : The Tale of the Jester's Mask by Volodimir Skorokhod

After all that I have had to see and endure, the world has opened up to me from a different side. Every second, every ray of light, every breath of wind—this is the astonishing beauty of our world, which I now feel with my very skin. And, looking upon this fragile and perfect life, I believe that we, as people, are worthy of leaving behind something good. Something genuine. And I write. I write fairy tales. Right now, a screenplay is being born from my hands, based on one of them. I feel that this story is special. It is deeper and more powerful than many of those that have conquered the world, be it "Shrek" or other famous tales. I believe it contains that very truth which can help make sense of everything happening in our lives today. In its frantic rhythm, in its pain, and in its hope. At its heart is a little wolf cub who went through a childhood fear, rose to the very pinnacle of power, became a king… and with that power, poisoned by an old resentment, almost destroyed the entire world. But he was not allowed to. Because, in the very end, forces were found to halt the fall. And good in this story triumphed as it likely has in no other fairy tale—not artificially, not by magic, but at the cost of immense effort, insight, and sacrifice. This is the story that lives within me. And I am searching for those who can see in it what I see. Those who can help it come alive in an animated film that will be not merely entertainment, but an honest conversation with the world about the most important things.
