Hey Everybody ! I'm Jason Silfies and I'm a voice over talent. After talking with my wife about "maybe" trying voice over for a number of years I finally took the plunge and did something about last year. I'm glad I did cuz it's pretty awesome getting paid to talk to yourself :) I've noticed how amazingly supportive the VO community is of one another and I'm grateful for having great people helping me on my journey. Hi Jason, I too am a voice artist who has also been on the other side of the glass. 30 years at Mattel Toys managing the Sound Design Studio gave me the opportunity to direct and record a lot of major voice actors, including Mel Blanc, June Forey, Hal Smith and Mona Marshall. From observing them, I learned and developed my own voice acting skills. Over the years I've done quite a bit of work and I hope to expand that aspect of my life. VERY cool that you got to work with Mel Blanc. I bet that an amazing experience.

It was! We recorded at his son's house. Mel sat in a big easy chair in a home theatre and we positioned a vintage mic next to him. We then squeezed into the projection booth and directed him from there. What a blast.

ive just started doing voice over work, just kinda accidently fell into it. so far, im enjoying it, and love the challenge of trying to emote and react to a microphone instead of a real person! haha
Jason, nice to meet you. I've only been doing voiceover for a year. but I love it. The experiences as an actor have been great and the people amazing. Nice job on your website.
