Teleplay Critique Group in Denver CO

Hi. I'm relatively new to Stage 32--I've been a member since May 2015! Deity-of-readers-choice, I wish I'd known of Stage 32 years ago. I'm currently working on a spin-off pilot for Supernatural. I've been a member of Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers (RMFW) for several years, and have seriously worked on 3 novels with them, though of late my teleplays have held most of my attention. I wrote 4 spec scripts for ST:TNG, the first of which made it into the top 10 of a pile of 110 left for the 3rd season producers by the 2nd season producer when he learned he wasn't returning for the 2nd season--none of the 110 were produced. I recently completed and submitted to a whole bunch of script contests a spec pilot, and have not been getting the feedback I'd hoped for, so I'm looking to start a teleplay critique group here in Denver CO modeled on my RMFW critique group. The formats of the two media may not allow for the same format of critique, but hey, you go with what you know. If you're in the greater metro-Denver area and interested in participating in a critique group please send me an email at pjamesnorris25@gmail.com.

Terrific post, James. As you know, the writing community here is strong, so there's plenty of support to be had. Look forward to seeing you around the neighborhood.

Hello again to you too, Kathryn.

Hello James!

Rebecca Ann Dowty

Hi, James! 'Just sent you a message. After reading this post, I would LOVE to connect. We have "Studio Standard Screenwriters" that meet in either Westminster or Aurora, depending on the week... We've mainly focused on "spec" scripts for features, but I'd love to glean some input from you on cleaning up my format for teleplays. Please feel free to contact me via email: author@RebeccaAnnDowty.com. Thanks for posting, and so glad to meet you here on Stage32!--Becky D.

Rebecca, Don't know that you wanna take anything I have to say on the subject without a salt shaker's worth of salt, but I'm more than happy to share what (mis)information I have.
