Post-Production : Are these Avid Quicktime codecs safe for Windows users? by Enrique Bartolo

Are these Avid Quicktime codecs safe for Windows users?

Hello everyone, as you all know by now, Quicktime is now a very risky program to run on Windows because of Apple refusing to update it with security patches. As a windows user myself, I had to uninstall Quicktime to be safe and it's also problematic because I like to export with Quicktime codecs such as H.264. However, I recently found these official Avid Quicktime codecs from Avid's official site, so does anyone know if these codecs are safe to download and use for exporting? Thanks for the info! So all I want to do is playback .mov clips on the Davinci Resolve timeline, but these certain clips were downloaded from the Internet. Also I want to export/upload QuickTime files such as H.264 to Vimeo, so am I still safe?
