I have managed to make a pilot by myself where I animated everything and voiced every character by myself.

The series is partially autobiographical. It is inspired from the 5 years I spent in London. I am currently in Romania, and I self-produced the pilot years after I had left London.
The series would be a mixture between BoJack Horseman and Mr Robot. It is similar to BoJack Horseman because it would explore the reasons why the main character is attracted to show-business/Hollywood/filmmaking. The similarities to Mr Robot revolve around his inner struggle with his sense of self-worth, which inner struggle manifest through an imaginary version of himself.
With regards to the animation style, it borrows heavily from BoJack Horseman, however I chose to include memes and anime as means of conveying meaning. For example, you may notice how in the section where the main character imagines different ways in which he could have approached a situation, the image quality deteriorates as he plays though the interaction in his mind. The meme referenced is called “deepfrying”. It is a community practice of using an image over and over again, through downloads and uploads, until its pixel count diminishes and it loses its sharpness. The deterioration also reflects, unintentionally, the community gradual loss of interest with the meme represented by the image. In this instance, the memory and the fantasy deteriorate as he hyper fixates on them both.
The series would follow the struggles the main character would face as an immigrant, alone, in a foreign country, where his ethnicity is hated, as he tries to become a filmmaker/director. Underneath that, the show would also tackle the motivations of a lonely young man who has issues with women, his parents and making friends. He may be considered an incel, but I, personally, never identified with said group of people.

My ultimate goal is to have my series made, so I am open to adjusting my expectations and vision or the series' format, for an opportunity to see my dream come true.
