Producing : Question? by Stacee Myers

Stacee Myers

Okay, so I sent my finished pilot script into a major name producer, in which he sent the script and plot outline to his creative team... Is this a good thing? When would one typically hear back about this?

It's a good thing. Why would it be a bad thing?! My personal general rule of thumb is that you can send a very polite follow-up note in 3 weeks. You don't want to be pushy, but you don't want to be too lackadaisical. If you don't follow up at all, I'd think, "man this writer doesn't give a crap so why should I?" You might expect an answer in 2 weeks, 2 months, or never. One never can tell.
