As much as I feel deep down in me that nothing's impossible, I find producing and distributing a movie quite a task. What does it take to produce and/or distribute a movie?

A lot of homework, homie! But let's take this back just a bit... What do you feel is your unique talent?

By my judgement I'd say creative writing. However, I really don't limit my strengths/willingness. Also, I've read a thing or two...

That's what's up, Conrad. I checked out your profile - you've got a lot goin' on. Great to see.... I'm finding shorts here in Denver that are 'almost there' and polishing them. I'm on the Story Consultant route for more Producer's credits.

Wow Shawn. That's an exciting phase... Well for me it should be and I so wish you the best to have that.

Conrad; It takes moxie, persistence and drive to produce and/or distribute a movie – and lots of it!

There are lots of control freaks out there who are all too happy to advise you about what you can’t do. I tell ‘em maybe I can, maybe I can’t but please step aside while I give it a try.

I believe the hardest part about making movies, or music - I'm a musician by soul - is building our team. Build team - make project! If the team is right, rinse and repeat. If not find, replacements, rinse, repeat.

Shawn – Absolutely right on! I don’t have enough warm bodies where I am to build a team. I’ve tried for five or more years so far so I’ve decided to shut down my little struggling production company. Sadly, those are jobs that my community will never get. I’m done rinsing and repeating and it’s time to hang it out to dry.
Oh, Doug that's sad to know but I'm sure building up a team entails more than just assembling people who can share a vision. They need to love it, trust it as though it were theirs... I just know it takes a lot than just getting folks to understanding the concept.
