There’s a special kind of ache that comes from thinking about the things you almost had. The people, the moments, the versions of yourself that didn’t quite happen.
My short film script, Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve Been, is born out of that ache. It’s personal. It’s rooted in a very real experience that left its mark on me, and writing it was like tearing open a scar and turning it into something that could maybe heal, or at least help someone else feel less alone.
This script isn’t just a story to me. It’s a reflection of who I was at a turning point, someone wrestling with regret, self-worth, timing, and all the messy in-betweens. It’s me putting vulnerability on the page and now hoping to bring it to life on screen in a way that resonates.
I’m still growing, as a person and as a screenwriter. But this script? This one feels like a milestone. A timestamp on my journey. If you’ve ever loved too late or let go too early, Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve Been might hit home for you, too.
