The media has spoken out-loud about the lack of equal roles for women and even truthful roles that reflect who women are and what we are doing on the planet. Yet with a strong female character a script can't get to option. One of the creators of SNL with many films behind (and in front) of him has encouraged me to keep at it, the day will come. Stage 32 what is your opinion of this? Are film companies going to do something about this outcry for original material featuring inclusive language, capable women? Is Europe going to beat us out of this new money making message? The opportunity to create a brand new audience? I decided at 3:00 am to market my script to a more sophisticated Europe and Canada.

Good luck marketing to Europe and Canada. Most of the films from there are sophisticated only because they are government funded as part of an arts program... and only people from the funding country can apply. Since these films are part of an arts program, they have no need to make money. Hollywood is a business, and their decisions (right or wrong) are usually made for marketing reasons. They invest in a screenplay, and want that investment to pay off.
Yeah get that. Good feedback thank you. I wish my parents had kept my dual citizenship - Canada. But I do believe that shifting Hollywood thinking will make money. It will take hard proof by one good script and someone to invest. It will come around... I'll be at the corner with my thumb out.
