Software

Best software for visual effects?

Mark Nickells

Aaman, To your question? It depends on your final objective, and what kind of machine you have, and budget. For MAC users, "Final Cut Pro." is the main stay in the market, yet is costly, and has a very steep learning curve, and followed by "Adobe After Effects. " Both are solid, but aren't polite on the pocket book. Windows : Gen Art , "Sapphire," Rocks the house, and is fairly intuitive, and won't break your pocket book. Video editing. ? Studio 16-17 from Pinnacle. is solid and easy to learn. And from there, you go up with SONY VEGAS, and Cybermedia Studio. (Lot's of bells and whistles), yet laid out so even a newbee can pick up the program fairly fast. Look at your budget, and your objective? Want killer effects. or go from video to production? 50-500.00 , depending on product? Hope, that was helpful? Cheers.

Are you looking for an NLE, 3D App, or Digital Compositor. If you are on a budget, Blender3D (www.blender.org), Natron Compositor (http://natron.inria.fr. ). FCPX and Motion are great Apple products. Also, check of Editshare's Lightworks (www.lws.com).
