Midnight in Paris on Friday night I got to pitch to Joan Mao of Safran Company via Joey's Happy Writers scheme with - I'm pleased to report - a happy result! Seeing as Safran is the company behind the 'The Conjouring' franchise, I started by pitching a period ghost story, but Joan was more taken with my action-adventure drama "Africa As You Like It" with its fantastic lead role for a young actress and requested the script. Yay!
