About Marla

Marla Seidell is a Chicago-based actor, improviser, comedian and writer. She won Best Supporting Actress for her role as a B-movie actress in the comedy Private Screening (2022) and was nominated for Best Actress for her dual female/roles in the comedy Be Your Wo/Man (2014).

Her most exciting roles have been irreverent, bold, eccentric characters. On the Chicago stage, she has performed in a dozen lead roles in new works and sketch comedy. At Theater Wit, she played a fast-talking, zany waitress in Emmy-award winning writer Bill Ball’s comedy, “Creating Arthur.”

Marla received improvisational training at Annoyance Theater, ComedySportz, and The Comedy Clubhouse, where she was an improviser on the long-form team Archimedes’ Wheaties.
