Happy Sunday, everyone. And for those celebrating in the States, Happy Labor Day weekend.
In this edition of Coffee & Content, I have two videos I believe you'll find most informative. First up, it's Stanley Kubrick and The Shining. It's well documented that Stephen King was not on board with Kubrick's adaptation of his epic novel. In this video we see how and why Kubrick made his choices in what he included, expanded upon and what he left behind.
Next up, a look at the first season of True Detective, widely hailed by many as a masterclass in character development and storytelling. The video below explores how those characters became so richly drawn.
Hope you enjoy the content. As always, I ask you to hit those share buttons above and push this content around the interwebs so others can benefit as well. Give to live!
Have a great rest of the weekend.
Cheers.

If there was one subject that dominated the questions asked during my recent Stage 32 AMA, it was about best practices on social media. Many of you wanted to know how to go about creating meaningful relationships that would help accelerate your path to success. You know my feelings on this subject as it relates to launching and maintaining a career in film and content creation:
Relationships = Reads
Relationships = Jobs
Relationships = Financing
Relationships = Champions of you and your work
Relationships = Greater opportunities
Since we only had about 90 minutes, I was unable to get to all of your questions. Therefore, I decided to tackle the most asked as part of my new article for Medium - 3 Ways You Can Create Meaningful Social Media Relationships Today.
I hope you find the material helpful and that it inspires you to change/enhance your social media habits and increase the time spent on building relationships that matter.
And remember, you can see all my previous Medium articles and follow me on the platform here
Enjoy!
