Anthony Gibson and I are working on an action short, The Alcoholic, the story of vigilante drunk who crosses the wrong people. We are curious as to how this scene looks before we move on. Any criticism is welcome. Also, please share so we can get more critique. Thank you for your time. Link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PCYYruMImA&feature=youtube_gdata_player

ok.. its a critical review... is the bag that important that you start with it as the lead shot ? why so wide on the initial hand clasp? a bit too much head room on the med shots , but thats a personal taste... the color in general is overly blue and not dynamic at all. the sound is extremely bad. I can't see the faces of the actors. Do you have clearance for the college sweat shirt? Everyone is speaking over everyone else.. needs way more direction. a lot of "hang time with nothing happening in a number of shots. There is not enough build up to the fight. the story is weak. you need to build up some drama with the lead to set up the fight and why would someone just pull out a couple huge machettes for no good reason... My vote... Do some re-writing and shoot it again with better lighting , sound and direction. all in of course , MHO...
