Screenwriting : Script readers by Devin Marcus Miller

Script readers

Anyone in this network a somewhat experienced (or not experienced but knows the ins and outs of a formal script) script reader that can whip a script into shape for screenwriting contests? Been searching but can only find top-notch firms that charge hundreds. Willing to pay a reasonable fee. Thanks

Jason Dennis

This is a peer review site, you can get your script reviewed for free, as long as you review scripts. You'll have to review some first. If you ask the "reviewers of the month" they can pick your script from the bin and you will get coverage-quality feedback. www.talentville.com?ref=3dd2a63b

I can write you a free critique. I charge $50 if you want a second one, $100 for the third and so on. bindercd@vcu.edu

Hi Devin, I've been a script consultant for several years, both freelance and with some of the services out there, and formerly a mentor for the AFI Writer's Workshop program. I'll review your overall project before we start and if I don't think I can help, I won't take it on. I can work within your budget as well and offer quick turnaround. Send me a direct message and we'll go from there.

I'd vouch for Screenplay Mechanic as well. Andrew Hilton is probably the best in the business with a stellar reputation.

My co-writer and I have used this reader A LOT: http://sixtybucknotes.blogspot.com/

@ Ron. We have always been very pleased with Scott's feedback. His notes have really helped us move our scripts in the right direction.

Well, I'm one of the consultants that does charge a bit more for comprehensive notes, and I certainly understand looking for free or less expensive options, just keep in mind the difference between a 2-page Coverage and 6-8 pages of more in-depth Notes. its very different. That being said, No BullScript does also have a Reader Service, which is only $99 and that is for about 2pgs of notes plus grading sheet & logline. so, I'd be happy to help though am booked into mid January right now.
