I'm a student/independent filmmaker who has also been getting into numerous parts of the multimedia scene including being a freelancer musician, photographer, and even into "product" designing (by that I mean designing movie posters, cd album covers, etc.). The most activity I have been working with has been music (since 2012) and my music has evolved quite rapidly (despite it's low popularity) since early 2014 when I began working with MIDI Virtual Synthesizers. I have released a total of eight albums so far and I'm currently working on a much more BIGGER project (despite the fact that it has been delayed for sometime now). As of today I "work" on a community collaboration website called HitRECord (which is run by Joesph Gordon Levitt) as a musician and photographer. So as you can see I should be making bank on all my work right? WRONG! In fact I haven't made a single penny (but whatever I like to make music for fun anyway). But recently, I have been wanting to up my game a little bit and move up into becoming a film composer like Wojciech Golczewski or even John Murphy. I know that I'm not THE BEST that's around (and I'm certainly no Hans Zimmer because he's made music for damn nearly EVERY SINGLE MOVIE) but I can at least take my work seriously enough to where I actually know what I'm doing and whatnot. But long story short I just want to become a film composer. And I'm sorry if I sounded a little whiny and childish.

Great to have you in this community, Liam! We have an AWESOME composing community here, I recommend networking with Sam Estes. Also, we have a composing webinar coming up all about how to get into the business and stay there - I recommend it for you, sounds right up your alley. I look forward to future discussions with you in the lounge and keep us posted on how all your projects go!
Sweet! Thanks
