Though this is a self-produced (DIY) fest, they are also requiring you to give them $450 + + + + Tampa Bay Theatre Fest wrote: You have 3 hours (this time could be increased but that is no guarantee) prior to your show to have your set up and lights and sound check. Being that this is a festival we highly advise that your set not be complicated and your lighting be a minimum. Your sound and lighting will be managed by the staff at the venue so you are not allowed to handle their equipment. You must provide your own team of stage hands, stage manager, and crew. You have 1 hour to strike your set. Tampa Bay Theatre Fest wrote: 6) If your full length play is selected to be performed at Stageworks your fee is $200.00. Stageworks sits 100 people, all monies made on your show is 100% yours. If your play is selected, yes there is a charge and that charge is dictated by what stage YOU select. For example if you select to do your show at the Straz, yes the cost is 450.00 that cost helps to pay for the union workers who are working your show. Last year shows that used the Straz made up to 5k so it clearly was not a bad return on their investment. NONE of the money made on your show goes to the TBTF, it all goes to you.
