What's your favorite example of an untrustworthy narrator? I really enjoyed Robert Downey, Jr's narration in Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang. Lots of "Oh, I forgot to mention..." and "This guy's a tool. I'm not gonna fill in his back story."

I like that raw narration that you talked about. Another favorite of mine is Goodfellas - that is just so unfiltered and awesome. As for untrustworthy...hm...I can't seem to think of an example off the top of my head, but there are definitely times where I'll sit through voiceover and say "please, let this end so we can get back to the story." That's the worst.
Like the unnecessary narration that they added to Blade Runner years ago. Just...why?
