Had My First Happy Writers Skype Pitch...

...on Sunday and meant to post this earlier in the week but time got away! I just wanted to let everyone know what a great experience it was, I was more nervous about the Skype process than the pitch but Joey and Brandon were on top of it and EVERYTHING went smoothly and exactly as they said it would. My creative partner and I were able to be relaxed and cheery during the pitch, which I dare say went really well (no feedback yet). Anyway, just a shout out!

I have a pitch this Saturday, the Skype and Pitch give me wild butterflies in my belly. But, I am sure all will be well.... Glad yours went smoothly Terri :)

Terri Viani

Break a leg! It will be great I'm sure. =)

Keith Betts

Great to hear it went well. Keep Pitching ! ! ! ! !

Jean-Pierre Chapoteau

Congrats, Terri. I hope all goes well.

Susan Fontaine

What happened with your pitch?

Terri Viani

Hi Susan! Still waiting to hear on four of them. Heard back from one and they passed on the script. I've put it all out of my head for the mostly, waiting can drive me nuts, so I'm just getting on with other projects and letting the Universe sort it out for me. =) Thanks for asking!

Susan Fontaine

Same boat. I made the quarterfinalist in Scriptapalooza and Final Draft. However, recently got back my coverage from Scriptapalooza. Even though, they pointed out some positive things, according to them it still needed work. Which was a little confusing, since I made the quarters. When I did that I thought ok I did it right. I don't know? I am waiting on Vangaurd Films to get back to me too. This is a crazy business! One you put your heart and soul into! I have a meeting with my Long Island writing group in December we are going to see how I can make this script better. This is my first script. I really have been a stay at home mom for the last 20 sum what years. So, I guess I should be proud. I guess... LOL

Terri Viani

Oh congrats on getting that far with your first script!! Yeah, crazy biz indeed, one of the reasons I dropped out years ago, I couldn't take the fear and worry - age has its benefits and perspective is one of them, now I do my best and then release it into the Universe (for the most part!!) lol

Susan Fontaine

Me too leaving it in Gods hands. Age does have it's benefits, you become a little more accepting of yourself. It is what it is, and it is all good :) kind of mindset. Keep me posted and I will do the same.

Susan Fontaine

If I had the money (Kevin Ryan) me too. Practice makes perfect. You can pitch to friends and family if they will have you.

Terri Viani

Agreed! The experience alone is invaluable.

I have babble through some pitches ~ I'm a work in progress :) we all are. And true I have made peoples face light up in delight and ponder in confusing. Keeping on Keeping ON...
