Screenwriting : Coverage Service by Bianca Gray

Hey all, I just wanted to share a happy moment with everyone. I consider myself a bit of a newby. I have a day job and no Australian friends that have experience in this field. So I read. A LOT! And troll the internet for hints, tips, seminars and courses. I signed up for a webinar with Joey on how to pitch your script and one of the big things that struck me was not to pitch your script unless you've gotten coverage and received at least a consider. So I signed up for the Stage 32 coverage and my script was sent off to Drew Smith from Unique Features. The notes I got back blew me away. They really helped to highlight those little things that I was too close to see and that are blaringly obvious once someone points it out. But what blew me away even more was the email from Joey telling me that Drew liked my script and wanted me to ring his office. Although my script is not something that they are looking for now, I received some really positive encouragement and Drew wants to keep in touch. Was soooooo awesome. This whole thing has really helped remove those little voices in my head that say my writing is garbage. I was smiling all day and randomly giggling to myself too. So thank you so much to Stage 32 for having the coverage service and Thank you to Joey for recommending Drew. He was wonderful and lovely to talk to.
