Hello, the Creative World, Anyone need some quick and explicit acting tips on getting better, I recently heard a podcast with Larry Moss, a critically-acclaimed acting teacher, who has taught the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Hilary Swank. One of the best tips he provided during the interview was to watch two individuals act. One of his suggestions was to watch Daniel-Day Lewis and Meryl Streep while turning the sound all the way down to mute. If you notice, both actors demonstrate great acting skills that are so unconscious, it looks like naturalism and not rehearsed. You will notice both individuals acting, using physical gestures, which is a mainstay for great acting. Watch Daniel-Day Lewis in "There Will Be Blood" twice, first with sound off, then sound on. Do the same for Meryl Streep in "Sophie's Choice" and "The Deer Hunter." Tell me if this works for you guys and let me know if you have any questions.

It's all thanks to Lee Strasberg and the Method acting training Meryl Streep and Daniel Day Lewis are experts at displaying. They are two of the examples of actors I was taught to look at among many others like Leonardo dicaprio and Robert de Niro. But great advice those are two other actors to look at for anyone reading this.

Yeah, you are right. Lee Strasburg was the standard barrier. I like to read and get knowledge from all the different acting approaches, so i am currently reading on the Meisner techniques and Stellar Adler as well.
I haven't looked into there styles too much as of yet but I will.
