Hello everyone, I'm Shafiq Ahmad Setak from Toronto, Canada. Completing a screenwriting course at the Faculty of Continuing Education, University of Toronto, I discovered my passion for storytelling. I'm thrilled to see my ideas and treatments come to life as screenplays. I'm happy to announce the completion of my second English screenplay titled "Crossfire Catalyst," a thrilling spy action-thriller. Alongside this achievement, I've also penned two additional screenplays—one for a Hindi movie and another in Farsi/Dari, my native language. In addition to "Crossfire Catalyst" and "In Pursuit of Love," I've also completed another script titled "Deadly Romance." This screenplay draws inspiration from the timeless poetic narratives of Rumi, the revered Persian poet and scholar from the 12th century. Rumi's masterpiece, "The Masnavi," has been skillfully translated into English by renowned translators like Coleman Barks. Currently, I'm immersed in the process of adapting the Hindi screenplay into an English TV series. This series will span at least 20 episodes, featuring eight songs strategically woven into the narrative. I aim to create a captivating musical drama infused with elements of action and suspense. As a key contributor to this project, I'm deeply involved as the lyricist for the songs featured in the TV series.
