Your Stage : Science fiction participatory opera by Geoffreyjen Edwards

We are developing an ambitious participatory opera. A libretto has been completed (second draft - it is still being revised) and we have started working on music composition, set and costume design. We are having to invent the process as we go along, on a very small research budget. We will only present a fragment of the opera in a year's time - over the summer we will be staging a short segment of about ten minutes and videotaping the result. This will then be "dismantled" in diverse ways so we can develop and implement a user interface that allows viewers to customize their own experience of the opera and modify part of its content in real time.
