Morning everybody, So I worked my first PA gig in 1996, on a low budget feature outside of Boston. It starred Norman Reedus, long before he would start making a living out of shooting crossbow bolts into zombie flesh. Twenty years later, and LA is now my "home", I'm a DGA member, and I consume more breakfast burritos in a calendar year than most people do in a lifetime. Like most seasoned crew members, I think the excitement of film newcomers is contagious, but cringe whenever young Directors/Producers mention Rodriguez's "Rebel Without a Crew" in interviews (the book is both a source of great ideas, and a tapestry of lies, all at the same time). I have been dropped on my head by the Foo Fighters, had my butt complimented by Sofía Vergara, and if you watch The Lonely Island's YOLO video, not only was I the AD, but I am also the guy in the sauna being eaten by piranhas. So yes, its been a fun ride.
