When I first considered blocking I was a bit confused on how to go about it. Mainly due to in part to thinking I had to rush to get the film made (Deadlines for grades) but it does pay off to play with different modes. This video explains that and more. I heard the director of one of the Peter Pan movies told each actor a secret about their characters that they could not tell the other actors.
