Your Stage : Seeking a producer by Chris Nunnally

I'm seeking a producer for my first film entitled "Over the Knee" which I'm hoping to shoot this fall if everything comes together. The project originally started as a short film and has expanded as I've found the characters had more and more to say. Some may find the concept too controversial or "not PC" but it's a story that is very personal to me and one that I really want to make a reality. I've already auditioned for the lead roles and have two actresses onboard. They are very passionate about the project and are hoping to move forward with it. All I ready need is to find financing and producing assistance to finally get this thing off the ground. Here is a synopsis: What is it that makes us who we are? Why are some people adrenaline junkies while others collect porcelain dolls? And why does twenty-something Julie want to be spanked? Why is the fantasy of being taken "over the knee" consuming her life and interfering with work and school? Is it sexual or the result of a neglected childhood? Whatever it is, it's bad enough for Julie's boyfriend to reject her as a freak, leaving her depressed and confused. Her home life isn't helping much. Her parents are oblivious, her little brother is an out of control attention-seeker, and no one seems to know, or care, she exists. On top of that, her stifling Women's Studies class has her convinced that her fantasy is borne of some freakish disorder that flies in the face of feminism. In a world that does not understand or accept difference, Julie's greatest and most mysterious desire becomes her darkest secret. But when that secret is accidentally revealed, Julie meets Michele, a classmate and professional disciplinarian who is not shy about wielding a paddle...and using it. Michele takes Julie on a journey into the heart of what she wants most, a journey of love and acceptance of self, a journey that becomes truly empowering. With a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor, a lot of heart, and of course a lot of spanking, the film casts a uniquely positive light on a taboo subject that may be more normal than we realize. **** I've already tried all of the crowdfunding options out there with no success, so I'm hoping to find what I need here to get things rolling.
