Hey everyone, if you're into writing for music libraries this article provides some pretty cool info to help you get your music licensed. If anyone has further insights/comments I would love to learn more about this subject. Enjoy the article! : http://www.soundonsound.com/techniques/importance-metadata-media-composers

Hey Brandi: Thanks for passing that along. Good Info! How's it going for you out there in LA?
Hey Jim! No worries, glad you enjoyed it. Things are good! I'm actually working on a blog for Stage 32 talking about my time in LA so far. Just finished my internship with RCP a few weeks ago, so right now just taking the time to refresh my portfolio and apply/build on what I learned. How are things on the East Coast?
Things are on the upswing. I'm putting together a couple of new ensembles; one to record a bunch of new songs I've written and another, a string quartet, to prepare for a concert of two new works in October. And rebuilding my long neglected website. Which isn't getting much attention. I'm interested to hear your music. What's the best route to take? YouTube? SoundCloud?
If it's a video of a live performance use Youtube. A vast majority of composers seem to be using Soundcloud. If you are more song/band oriented, you may be interested in Reverbnation. I like free and to get listens from all around the world so I have parked on a lesser known site called, www.icompositions.com (/artists/joelirwin).
Hi Jim, that's awesome! Sounds like the two ensembles are quite an undertaking by themselves in addition to everything else you have going on, but it's great that you're keeping busy! Yeah, I built a website a couple months ago that doesn't really get a lot of attention either. Would love to see yours! Maybe we can give each other suggestions or something. Also, thanks for taking an interest in my work! Would love to hear yours as well. Here's my SoundCloud link: http://www.soundcloud.com/brandi-thomas .
