Hi, if anyone needs transcriptions services for film/video/documentary/sound recordings/other dialogue, I am happy to offer my services. We can negotiate rates depending on the volume/quality of the recording, but rates would be in the range from £5 - £15 (~$7 - $20) per thousand words transcribed (roughly 5 mins of audio in a two way conversation at normal cadence).
This would also include basic descriptions of what is happening in the clip for video, obviously this isn't possible with just audio, but would still include things like (Laughter), (Coughing), (Mobile Phone Ringing) etc embedded in the transcript. Timestamps would be every 30 seconds typically, and upon every speaker change. This can also be negotiated depending on your specific requirements. Have transcribed upwards of 2,000 hours of audio (including video), in a range of industries, but predominantly legal, medical, business, academic, and media. Therefore am au fait with most business speak, medical terminology and legalese etc, and have been working in this field for the past five years.
Am primarily sub-contracted out to others at the moment, but am looking to do more work for myself. I am a voracious reader, and you can be rest assured I will accurately transcribe dialogue with fast turnaround times, which vary from rush work, with 24 hours turnaround, to standard (2-3 days' turnaround) to extended (5 - 7 days' turnaround) to long-term (14 days' plus). Before agreeing a deal, I would propose that you send me a sample of the content to be transcribed, of perhaps half an hour or 45 minutes, which I would endeavour to return to you at the going rate per thousands words as per the above, and then if you are happy with the finished product, we could come to an arrangement from there onwards for the rest of the content. Obviously for low volumes of work <10 hours worth, I would transcribe the material myself, but for larger volumes 20 hours + depending on turnaround times, I may need to involve other transcribers. But rest assured their work is of equal quality to my own.
Finally, confidentiality is guaranteed at all times, and is very important to me personally, as a matter of ethics and integrity.
On a final note, am used to transcribing in 'American English' as is required, with North American common spellings used. So this is not a problem. Needless to say am a big fan of American and Canadian TV shows, including but not limited to in recent years, The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, Hand of God, Better Call Saul, Mr Robot, Person of Interest, Limitless, Breaking Bad, Prison Break, Lost etc, etc.
Should also add, am completely comfortable with transcribing in sync with on screen time codes, so transcript time stamps match video time codes, and can do this without too much effort or stress all day every day without a problem. Cheers.
