Your Stage : From aspiring TV series to web comic! by Gabriel Wettenstein

From aspiring TV series to web comic!

After several years of pitching on here to dozens of producers, talent agencies and management companies, all of which have been met with rejection (except for 1, which has been over 9 months and still no word after sending not 1, but 3 episodes) and 27 full episodes written, I am now taking my teleplays and getting them illustrated into e-comic format. I figured, if this would be my best shot at reaching my target audience of adolescents/young adults, why not cater directly to them? I still wouldn't mind having it made for TV, since that was the original vision, and maybe the comic strips could serve as storyboards. So, if it's one thing I've learned from going this route, it's how liberating (and daunting) it is to take matters into my own hands, and that my vision stays true to the original idea as it's getting made.

Perhaps that's the route that all stonewalled screenwriters should take, if they're passionate enough about it to see it all the way through. Anyway, here it is: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1287541062/the-weird-guy-a-brand-ne...
